When will the conference take place? Where is it located?
The 2020 JSCAMP Conference will take place on July 16-17, 2020 at the Fira Barcelona Montjüic in Barcelona.
Is this conference for me?
Which language is spoken?
All sessions are held in English. We encourage all participants to speak English, even with your friends, to make everyone welcome and join conversations.
How long are the talks?
Regular talks are 30 minutes.

JSCamp is pleased to offer an accessible Venue for wheelchair users. There are complementary tickets in case you need assistance.
If you are arriving by Taxi you can be dropped off at the Hall entrance. Should you wish to use public transport, please note the majority of the metro stations of Barcelona are wheelchair adapted. The bus fleet is also accessible for people with reduced mobility and other functional disabilities.

There are a great number of accessibility issues that can hinder people from attending an event. As it is our main goal to have an inclusive event with a welcoming atmosphere, we are trying hard to remove these barriers.However, we are aware that accessibility issues are diverse and this does not cover everything. If there is something that keeps you away from this conference please get in touch with us so we can work this out.
Do I need to wear my badge during the entirety of the conference?
To gain entry to JSCamp events, on the day of the event attendee must present the ticket sent by email, printed out in an easily legible form. All attendees, sponsors, volunteers and the JSCamp team are obliged to wear the badge in such a way as to prevent any misuse and for security reasons.

How can I get a ticket?
The event registration is closed. The tickets for the JSCAMP 2020 edition will be ready to purchase starting on February 12, 2020.
The first limited batch of super early-bird tickets will be launched via newsletter.

Can I order my ticket now and pay for it later?
Yes, you can order your ticket now and pay for it later by bank transfer. When ordering your ticket and asked for payment, simply opt to "INVOICE" to be able to insert your billing details and create an invoice. After that, you'll have 2 weeks time to complete your registration before your ticket gets canceled.
What is included in the ticket prices?
You'll have access to all the JSCamp conference sessions on the dates included in your ticket. The pre-conference workshops, all require separate tickets. All tickets include breakfast and permanent coffee and soft drinks bar during the conference. Not included in the ticket price are accommodation, travel, lunch, dinners, or any other costs, unless specifically indicated.
Is there a group discount?
Absolutely! You will get automatically 10% off when buying more than three tickets!
Do you offer any student discounts?
Yes, we do. You can apply for a discounted student pass here.
Why do I have to pay VAT?
Spanish laws don't allow VAT exemption for conferences. Yes, even to VAT registered businesses in EU countries. We are obliged to charge VAT for every ticket we sell, for everybody and even every company. A longer explanation can be found here: https://ti.to/docs/vat
Is there a possibility to refund if I am not able to attend?
Tickets to this event are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend JSCAMP Conference 2020 at 16 and 17 July you can transfer your ticket to a third party, such as a colleague or friend. You can transfer the ticket to a different person through the order management link in your registration confirmation (the service that handles ticketing for JSCamp) and click the button “Re-Assign” at the top right. There you can enter a new ticket owner.
Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your ticket to another person up until 2 weeks before the event through the order management link in your registration confirmation. You can order a ticket now and re-assign it to the person who'll be attending later. If you have purchased multiple tickets, you can assign them at any time through your ticket link order (you'll find the link in your registration confirmation received by email)
Can I share my ticket with someone else in between days?
No, you will need to show a valid ID upon picking up your badge or wristband. Full passes and any other passes cannot be shared in between or during days. You need to wear your badge or wristband at all times during the conference days.
How can I get a letter of invitation for a visa?
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for the documentation. You must have a valid ticket before we send you an invitation.
When is the latest I can purchase tickets online?
Tickets for JSCAMP always sell out, last edition did it with two months in advance. Please don't wait too long with ordering your ticket if you are sure you want to participate. Ticket prices increase each month until then.
Are there student tickets?
We do not offer student tickets or discounts, but you can still apply for a scholarship, We will announce it soon!.
Are there any scholarships?
Yes! If you’ve always wanted to attend JSCamp Barcelona, but have difficulty attending the conference this is your chance! The Scholarship Program will open soon. We hope our program enables you to join us and contribute to our conversation. A conference like JSCamp represents an opportunity for people from all over the tech community to come together and explore the challenges faced by developers worldwide. Since we do not offer lunch at the conference itself, you have to take care of yourself like the other attendees.
How can I support the Scholarship Program?
We are currently looking for various organizations to provide access to relevant groups. If your group or organization would like to be included in this program, please contact us.
